A portal has been established on Cristin’s website, providing a running overview of health research projects and biobanks. Projects and biobanks that are approved by REK (the Regional Committees for Medical and Health Research Ethics) are sent to Cristin and are published on the Health Research Portal. The portal provides general access to information regarding REK-approved health research projects. It has its own search and filter function, allowing visitors to narrow their search to coordinating research institutions, partners in multicentre trials, specific health project types, research types (commissioned or grant-funded research), the use of research biobanks and information according to the Research Council of Norway’s classification (HRCS health category and research activity) etc.
The regional health authorities have funded the Health Research Portal, and its development is a collaboration between Oslo University Hospital Trust (OUS) and Unit.
